If salt herring stays in refrigerator then in some days it become more salter.

When you buy herring in some shop look at the issue date should be more recent.

The freezer weakens salting process.

I buy herring only at the market and before buying I usually smile at the seller very politely and say "Would you please be so kind to tell me when your herring came to the market?" And they all say "It has come today, the herring is absolutely delicious, very-very-light-salted!" Liars

But i do not blame them, they can't taste herring every time the supplier delivers it.

And they can't say "The herring is very salted and disgusting, don't buy it"

 

So i bought two herrings today and found an interesting recipe. Tomorrow they will be ready, one for me, one for my big cat victorian

The freezer weakens salting process.

From the point of view of physics you're quite right, but how long are you going to keep herring in the freezer? For a day or two, I suppose.

If the herring I buy is too salty, I usually put it into cold strong tea or milk for an hour or so. After that it tastes much better.

I buy mine at our market.

 

So, the herring is ready and it's splendid!

 

I boiled 1 litre of water with 3 bay leaves, 3 cloves (гвоздика), 3 table spoons of salt, 4 table spoons of sugar and 8 black peppers, cooled this mixture and put 2 herrings inside. (At first i cut their heads and made harakiri). Waited tor 24 hours. Then I sliced my herrings, added some oil and onions and then.... :D

What a delicious cake! I guess why you’ve made it.

 

Dear friends, do you know how victorian and Molly first met? I’ll tell you.

 

It happened last summer. Molly Malone got on the train and took a seat next to a solitary travelling gentleman (it was victorian, of course). Molly looked very nice. She had just dyed her hair blond and was wearing a light summer dress. Victorian was coming back home from the country.

 

After a while victorian said politely, “Excuse me, miss, but…”

“If you speak or annoy me I’ll pull the train cord,” Molly snapped.

 

Whenever victorian attempted to speak, Molly threatened to pull the cord or call the policeman. At last the train slowed up at Pushkino and victorian rose to his feet.

“I don’t care whether you like it or not, miss,” he said, “but I want that torn bag of strawberries you’ve been sitting on for the last half an hour.”

 

Later Victorian and Molly got acquainted in the forum and made friends. They like to spend time together and discuss different things in English: literature, politics, sports, the latest fashion and news. They are both great eaters and like strawberries very much. Every time they eat strawberries with whipped cream, strawberry jam or strawberry cake (without any spoons) they remember the day they first met and can’t help laughing.
