They'll eat and dance and kiss and drink, And then in bath of champagne sink. And in the morning she will ask: "Where did i leave my skirt at dusk?"

Oh....so beautiful!! :P

I go east

I go west

I know now

You are the best!

It`s easy now

Just to fly

We are together

On the sky!

Happy Teacher's Day!

Remember: "Education is not the filling of a pail but the lighting of a fire." W.B. Yeats.

As for the teacher's day, victorian and i are going to drink champagne all day/night long

That's a good idea, but I have a better present for you.

But please, don't let victorian mix champagne with whisky or he'll have a headache the next day.

There're two names in the title of this book. One of the characters is very talanted and well-educated. He is a good singer and story-teller. Unfortunately, he isn't free. He is kept in chains.

Maybe it is "Ruslan and Ludmila" by A. S. Pushkin. Ruslan was talanted and well-educated, good singer and story-teller. As for Ludmila she was illiterate one. She couldn`t read or write, she was just a cute pretty russian girl.

:8): Yes, it's "Ruslan and Ludmila" by Pushkin, but it's not Ruslan who was talanted and well-educated but the cat who was chained to the oak-tree.

Where do all the teachers go?

Where do all the teachers go

When its four o’clock?

Do they live in houses

And do they wash their socks?

Do they wear pajamas?

And do they watch TV?

And do they pick their noses

The same as you and me?

Do they live with other people

Have they mums and dads?

And were they ever children

And were they ever bad?

Did they ever, never spell right

Did they ever make mistakes?

Were they punished in the corner

If they pinched the chocolate flakes?

Did they ever lose their hymn books

Did they ever leave their greens?

Did they ever scribble on the desktop

Did they wear old dirty jeans?

I’ll follow one back home today

I’ll find out what they do

Then I’ll put it in a poem

That they can read to you.

victorian,

the picture reminds me of one of my favourite poems by Edward Lear, The Owl and the Pussy Cat. I've known it since my childhood, and when i was a little girl i painted a huge picture of the owl, the cat , a small boat and moonlight.

The Owl and the Pussy Cat went to sea

In a beautiful pea-green boat,

They took some honey, and plenty of money

Wrapped up in a five-pound note.

The Owl looked up to the stars above,

And sang to a small guitar,

"O lovely Pussy, O Pussy, my love,

What a beautiful Pussy you are,

You are,

You are!

What a beautiful Pussy you are!"

Pussy said to the Owl, "You elegant fowl!

How charmingly sweet you sing!

O let us be married! too long we have tarried:

But what shall we do for a ring?"

They sailed away, for a year and a day,

To the land where the Bong-tree grows

And there in a wood a Piggy-wig stood

With a ring at the end of his nose,

His nose,

His nose,

With a ring at the end of his nose.

"Dear Pig, are you willing to sell for one shilling

Your ring?" Said the Piggy, "I will."

So they took it away, and were married next day

By the Turkey who lives on the hill.

They dined on mince, and slices of quince,

Which they ate with a runcible spoon;

And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand,

They danced by the light of the moon,

The moon,

The moon,

They danced by the light of the moon.

Самира, gimini, victorian! Thanks a lot for your sincere congratulations.

gimini

I liked your poem very much. It made me smile. I assure you: teachers are normal, ordinary people with their joys and sorrows. They have parents, husbands, children and pets.

They do housework, eat, sleep, watch TV, fall in love, get married and divorced like other people.

There're some things teachers mustn't do. Do you remember the proverb:

"Noblesse oblige" (Положение обязывает)? :D

Happy Teacher's Day!

I've composed a special poem:

A modern teacher is like that:

Wake up, some coffee, stroke the cat,

Then shower, lipstick and Chanel,

Mascara, rouge and stockings…Well,

For Present Perfect she looks fine,

For Passive Voice she is divine.

Some Complex Object is for lunch

For dinner – Preposition hunch

With chilly, dill, Subjunctive Mood,

A teacher is Miss Riding Hood.

She walks in forest, meets a cat

She tells him: Sir, I’m sure, I bet

That yesterday you heard me ask

‘Where did I leave my skirt at dusk?’

He answers: ‘Yes, my dearest girl.

I have a present – take this pearl.

I hope that soon you’ll smile and ask:

‘Where did I leave my bra at dusk?’

Actors:

The teacher - Molly

The cat - victorian of course :D

Happy Teacher's Day!

In this day, i am remebering a school times. I very liked lessons of literature. Nostalgia....

I have endured my desire,

I’ve ceased to love my fairy dreams,

And only fruit of hearty fire -

My sufferings have stayed, it seems.

And under storms of cruel kismet

My blooming spirit quickly died,

I waited for the end, I missed it.

I’m feeling loneliness inside.

So that enveloped by the blow

Of cold wind and stormy flaws

A leaf which is belated, sole,

Vibrates on bare branch in pause..

:16:)))

All world I bet,

It`s luckiest cat,

And this nice girl

Is real pearl!

Why any questions

Should we ask

We know answers

Here at dusk.

:)
