Dear Victorian, I think you have a poetic talent! I like your poem and it made me smile, especially phrase about benches and adventures.

I remember you also wrote one about river Serebryanka. It was also very nice.

 

I often read this link when I see new messages, but never write. I don't even know what to write because there is no fixed topic except our love to English language.

Victorian, is it possible to make additional forum in this link like girls made in handiwork? There we can discuss our favourite poems, movies, songs in English, exchange useful links and so on.

 

P.S. English language sounds like music for me too.

Dear Victorian, well,let's start with music:)

 

As for me I can't say that I have one favourite song or music style. Our life is so dynamic and time goes so fast that I prefer melodies that help me to rest and relax.

 

Sometimes I come across such records that I'd like to listen again and again. The last one I liked was «What a wonderful world» peformed by Stacey Kent. If it's interesting to you I can write the words of that song here. The words are rather simple but melody and manner of singing impressed me a lot.

 

And what's about you? What type of music do you prefer?

I like many interesting things. These are photography, Red Sea fishes, hedgehogs, foreign languages, travelling, reading and so on...

Not yet, but I'm going to I'm waiting for my business trip to Sicilia

By the way there is something common between Italians and Pushkino inhabitants.

Well really music is something. I like it very much. As a matter of fact music is a reflection of our soul. I like any type of music, it depends on my mood. And this song "What A Wonderful World ", sure it`s the masterpiece. My douther learns English now and I asked her to study it by heart, I`m sure it`s a good and interesting way for learning English:

It's a very good way!!! When I was younger and had a lot of free time, I knew many songs by heart.

By the way I live near river Serebryanka so I can image myself in water right now and my feelings there, I would sing the same song. By the the way I play guitar so sometimes I play for myself. I took practical lessons of playing the classic guitar when was a schoolgirl. I used to play a lot when I was a student. I rarely do it now, usually I play the guitar when friends come and we play in turn and sign all together.

To make a band ... Alluring proposal. Can play solo ) I also like to sing a lot.

Actually, I don't know Kylie's songs I prefer Nick Cave, especially his "Murder Ballads" album. My favourite song from this album is "Henry Lee" featuring PJ Harvey.

Wow, I`ve got this italian song! I was on the street near musical shop in Moscow and suddenly heard it. I asked that shop girl about the song`s name and here it is - "Caruso memoriam", magical melody and voice. I do hope dear Hedgehog will translate the text for us

Dear friends it`s great! It`s almost professional music band! Hedgehog is a drummer, Dinka and me are guitar players. And it`s obvious we`ll rehearse on the bank of Serebryanka. But one important point - only one box of beer during one concert, not more, OK?

Well I have an acoustic guitar but to be honest my douther plays better then me now.
