It's not that bad/cold/far - Не так уж плохо/холодно/далеко. Another option is to use 'so' instead of 'that' - It's not so bad/cold/far.

 

'That' is more frequently used in US while 'so' sounds more 'british' and is more bookish. Both options have neutral to positive meaning: the thing you are talking about is actually quite good (warm/close) and you like this.

 

You can also say 'it's not too bad' but this sounds more neutral to negative: the thing is ok to some extent but you don't like it. It's not too bad (cold/far) but actually it's not good (warm/close) and could be better.) In russian this would be 'так себе'.

 

These are shades of meaning and natives will understand you anyway. But it's not that bad to know and use different expressions.

'Please translate' and 'explain' sounds like you're a teacher asking a student who does have to answer.) And I'm not a student. I can do a favor but anyway I don't have to.

Do you need formal conversation? I do no think so

 

As to the word - 'please' and the sentences like this one -Would you be so kind to explain this ?
