Dear MSN, I admire your hard work! Your answer is logically right... but:

- We don`t know, if we have a right to ask about a partner (it`s not written in the riddle)

- There is very very simple answer for this riddle: to ask - " Is this door to your Kingdom?"

Dear Victorian

That was not a fair riddle in this case. There were no any restrictions about questions in the ridle. So I'm supposed to have a rigt to ask any-any-any question. But only one question. So I did! and my question works in any situations. Why you told me that is was wrong answer? Probably it was not a simple one, I admit. But it wasn't wrong. It worked in any situation. Even when Angel is guarding the door to Hell (it is also possible, because it is not specified exactly in the riddle also).

It's so nice to deal with clever people! I admire your quickness of wit and clear logic. It was very interesting for me to follow your discussion.

No doubt you're both right.

But to my mind there is a simpler way to solve this riddle. What is the same in it?

First, two locked doors. Second, the guards look identical.

My question to both:

 

"Sorry, sir, I can't see very well and I've left my glasses at home. Your door is locked, isn't it?"

Angel: Yes, it is.

Devil: No, it isn't (he is telling a lie)

 

I can also ask: "The other quard and you look identical, don't you?"

Angel: Yes, we do.

Devil: No, we don't (he is telling a lie)

I have an idea to make the same May Pole in Pushkino, near the cinema "Pobeda". It would be new nice tradition, sure May Queen will be Lady LG!
