Lady LG 4 159 Опубликовано 23 мая, 2011 My natural stupidity worries me... I sometimes feel mentally-disabled... Well, ladies and gentlemen! There're two unguessed riddles left: 1. What is it that no man wishes to have, and yet no man wishes to lose? (I helped you twice, and one more hint: look at Prince William) 2. Molly's riddle: What gets bigger the more you take away from it? and a misprint: Цитата The text below contains a misprint where one letter in a word is wrong. For example, if the word should be "cat", it is printed "cab". "Bobby Smith, the English international footballer, was sent off during a match against Germany. The referee showed Smith the red card after he licked the German goalkeeper in the last minute of the game." Come on, everybody! See you! Поделиться сообщением Ссылка на сообщение

"licked" - wrong word Letter "i" in this word should be changed into letter "o". "locked" - I think is right answer. Serdar 2 Опубликовано 23 мая, 2011 (изменено) My natural stupidity worries me... I sometimes feel mentally-disabled... 2. Molly's riddle: What gets bigger the more you take away from it? There is no stupidity in itself. This is just part of existence. About riddle number 2: After first reading my mind was empty. Then I've stolen the answer from "Internet" and understood that i had made wrong translation. I know answer, but can't speake it. Because answer was received by wrong way. Lady LG 4 159 Опубликовано 23 мая, 2011 (изменено) Serdar: "locked" - I think is right answer. Dear Serdar, It's very good that you try to express your answers in English, but you can do it much easier, for example: "The word "licked" is (printed) wrong. It should be "locked" "or "There is a misprint in the word "licked". It should be "locked"" Unfortunately your answer isn't correct. There is a misprint in the word "licked" but it isn't "locked". Try again! I'm sure you'll do it! Good luck! See you! Изменено 23 мая, 2011 пользователем Lady LG Поделиться сообщением Ссылка на сообщение
Lady LG 4 159 Опубликовано 23 мая, 2011 (изменено) Serdar: There is no stupidity in itself. This is just part of existence. Well, I think I agree with you. 2. Molly's riddle: What gets bigger the more you take away from it? ... I've stolen the answer from Internet .... You are an honest man, Serdar. I'm honest too. I know three answers to this riddle, two of which I've met before, but the third one is my own. I'll tell it to you later. So long, see you! Molly Malone 4 452 Опубликовано 24 мая, 2011 A joke from me: Deep within a forest a little turtle begins to climb a tree. After a few hours he reaches the top, jumps into the air and crashes to the ground. After recovering, he slowly climbs the tree again, jumps, and falls to the ground. The poor little turtle tries this again and again, but every time he falls out of the tree. Meanwhile, a couple of birds are watching this. Finally, one of the birds turns to her mate and says, “Darling. Do you think it’s time to tell him he’s adopted?” Поделиться сообщением Ссылка на сообщение
Lady LG 4 159 Опубликовано 24 мая, 2011 (изменено) 1. What is it that no man wishes to have, and yet no man wishes to lose? I agree, the riddle is difficult, I couldn't guess it myself, but I helped you three times. His bald head? Well done, Molly! We can't do without you! The answer is: a bald head. Have you ever seen a man who would like to have a bald head? Do you know a man who wants to lose it? Deep within a forest a little turtle begins to climb a tree... Poor thing! Aren't there any orphanages for baby-turtles nearby? Well, ladies and gentlemen! We have two tasks undone: 2. Molly's riddle: What gets bigger the more you take away from it? Serdar and I know the answer. Serdar has stolen it from the Internet and I have known it before; and a misprint: The text below contains a misprint where one letter in a word is wrong. The referee showed Smith the red card after he licked the German goalkeeper in the last minute of the game." There is a misprint in the word "licked" but it isn't "locked". Come on, everybody, it's easy! Now I'd like you to translate a very simple sentence from English into Russian. After you've done it, I'll give you an electronic translation and we'll have fun together HEY, NOW PEOPLE, HAVE YOU HEARD THE NEWS? Good luck! See you! Lady LG 4 159 Опубликовано 25 мая, 2011 (изменено) Serdar! Thank you for taking an active part in our conversation! I'll give you the correct answer. No doubt, Bobby Smith didn't lick anyone. kick - ударять ногой, пинать, лягать(-ся) The answer is: "... he kicked the German goalkeeper in the last minute of the game." "... он ударил ногой немецкого вратаря на последней минуте игры." Would you translate the sentence: "HEY, NOW PEOPLE, HAVE YOU HEARD THE NEWS?" And one more misprint for you and everybody. It's easy! The text below contains a misprint where one letter in a word is wrong. For example, if the word should be "cat", it is printed "cab". HOLIDAY of a LIFETIME Get close to nature. Sleep under the stars. Eat outside at an open fire. Go wherever you like. Hire a cat to take you into the jungle. Photograph wild animals. Phone 1221 443 4567 See you soon! Have fun! Lady LG 4 159 Опубликовано 26 мая, 2011 (изменено) Самира, you were right: "Hire a CAR to take you into the jungle. "How can you hire a CAT?" Reread the task: ".... ONE letter in a word is wrong", not an EXTRA letter. at an open fire - у(около) открытого огня, (костра) in THE open air - на свежем воздухе Back later. See you! Lady LG 4 159 Опубликовано 26 мая, 2011 Now I'd like you to translate a very simple sentence from English into Russian. After you've done it, I'll give you an electronic translation and we'll have fun together HEY, NOW PEOPLE, HAVE YOU HEARD THE NEWS? Nobody can translate... I don't believe it! One more misprint: this time the task is DIFFERENT. The text below contains a mistake where a word has an EXTRA LETTER. For example: if the word should be NOT it is printed as NOTE. "General Otode, the leader of the world's smallest country, lost his army in a car crash last week. The general is now in the main hospital. Doctors said that he was extremely shocked and unable to talk." Good luck! Back later. Поделиться сообщением Ссылка на сообщение
