Oasis и The Killers перезапишут лучший в мире альбом Oasis, The Killers и Razorlight представят на суд зрителей свои версии песен знаменитого альбома The Beatles «Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band», сообщает BBC. Инициатором проекта стала радиостанция "BBC Radio 2". Специальные студийные сессии с использованием оригинальной аппаратуры будут приурочены к сорокалетию со дня выхода оригинального альбома – в Великобритании пластинка появилась в продаже 1 июля 1967 года. Этот альбом получил 4 премии Grammy, а в 2003-м году журнал "Rolling Stone" признал «Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band» лучшим альбомом всех времен. Кроме Oasis, The Killers и Razorlight в записи, которая прозвучит в эфире 2 июне в рамках специальной серии радиопередач, посвященных 67-му году и «Лету любви», примут участие The Fratellis, Travis, Kaiser Chiefs и Джеймс Моррисон.

Mudhoney на Gauloises Avant Fest 2007! Четвертый международный музыкальный фестиваль Gauloises Avant Fest 2007 состоится 7 июля на открытой площадке арт-центра «Винзавод» (ст.м. «Курская»). Уже известно, что одними из хедлайнеров фестиваля станут основатели гранжа, легендарная группа из Сиэттла Mudhoney. В 80-х именно участники Mudhoney первыми использовали слово «гранж» для определения нового стиля рок-музыки. Благодаря Mudhoney появилось понятие «Seattle sound». В большой степени под впечатлением от творчества Mudhoney и The Melvins Курт Кобейн основал Nirvana.
